A journey of self discovery and healing through the sacred sites of Peru and exploring the wisdom of pre-Inca and Inca ceremonies.

Ayahuasca Ceremonies and Andean San Pedro retreats

July 31st – August 19th 2019 (PLACES AVAILABLE)
November 16th-December 2nd 2019 (PLACES AVAILABLE)

Our unique and specialised Andean San Pedro retreats combine an experience on a truly spiritual level with a Shamanic healing trip like no other.

Dr. Ruben Orellana, Ph.D and former head archaeologist of Machu Picchu and Michele Lukis will be your guides. Ruben having majored in chemistry and social sciences is an expert on the historical and contemporary aspects of San Pedro shamanism and healing in Peru.
Ruben spent twenty-two years as head curator of Machu Picchu where he is credited with the discovery of forty-four new sites. Ruben’s knowledge of the site is unparalleled and he will be there to guide you and answer any questions you may have.
In addition to his academic credentials as a historian and scientist, Dr Orellana is a practicing shaman himself, studying with the healers or Paqo (Shaman) of the Andes from the age of seven. Ruben’s knowledge of healing plant medicine and ceremonies has been passed down through generations of Andean tradition. When Michele once asked Ruben how many times he had conducted San Pedro ceremonies, he paused and said “over eight hundred”.
“My greatest joy is to share the knowledge that I have discovered through my work as an archaeologist and an anthropologist alongside the teachings of wisdom from my shamanic path. My spiritual path is to preserve the ancient Andean wisdom of my country and to bridge the understanding of these traditions into the modern world. This is of utmost importance to me.”
Michele Costa-Lukis brings her expertise of twenty years of a practicing psychotherapist, Shamanic and energy practitioner whose work has led her around the world, studying many varied traditions over the past twenty years. She is also a Reiki Master and regularly holds workshops in the UK and works alongside Dr. Ruben Orellana as a guide.

Safety is of the up-most importance to us and for this reason we have four people in the ceremony to work with the group. Don M. is the Ayahuasquero holding the ceremony, Ruben Orellana is a Curendro (shaman), Michele Lukis, a shamanic practitioner and transpersonal psychotherapist, and Caesar S. who is there to assist. Ruben has been holding these retreats since 1976 and has an unblemished reputation. Michele and Ruben offer after care as re-entry can sometimes needs a bit of support.

The sites in the North have just become available for ceremonial use.  We will be among the first to explore these sites with Ruben as our Shamanic guide.  These sites are also some of the most remote healing areas in Peru.

Shamanic Peru Tours

Shamanic healing and Shamanic journeys from the modern world of our clients to the indigenous Shamans. Peru offers the chance to indulge in a rich culture.

This is a trip of Shamanic healing, and of expanding consciousness in one of the most beautiful and diverse countries in the world.

Peru was the most amazing journey; a journey of spiritual discovery, philosophy and rich with culture with 14 hand-picked people and wonderfully, soulful guides. It was jam-packed with trips and ceremonies, from the Amazon to the Andean mountains. I couldn’t have wished for a better trip at a time when I needed it the most. Michele, Ruben and his team, organised the whole retreat beautifully and I feel so blessed to have been given the opportunity to participate in something so special. The accommodation was fantastic (far more luxurious than anything I stay in when I travel) and the food was amazing. Since coming home, I know something has shifted inside me and that the dance of life is really dancing and surprising me at every turn. I truly look forward to coming on the next retreat!

Of our planet’s 117 existing micro-climates Peru is home to 84, making it the most bio-diverse country on Earth. Starting our adventure in the Amazon rainforest, we bathed with dolphins and witnessed the full intensity of jungle life (whilst being suitably catered for in luxurious accommodation!) Then on to the mountains (for me the real hero our Peruvian exploits); the Andes provide a breath-taking backdrop as we experienced first-hand the ancient wisdom of the Inca and pre-Inca civilizations.

Incredible as Peru is both culturally and aesthetically, our trip was given extra meaning and gravitas because of the ceremonies we performed with local pacos or shamans. Using a combination of sound, vibration, light and plant stimuli we stripped away our layers of ego, learned-behaviour, dogma and expectation, opening us to new possibilities and laying bare our truths. This intensity of emotion and shared experience gave our group of 14 a special and unique bond during the two week trip that was a joy to be part of.

I returned home not just with great memories and a clearer vision of who I am, but with new friends and an inner confidence that is hard to express in words; it just is,

During all this we had the lovely Michele and her experienced group of local guides facilitating our every need. And just to end of a trivial note but one that you may well benefit from if you choose to explore this intrepid land, the food we ate was 100% organic, fresh, beautifully prepared and presented and consumed in vast quantities by all. Upon returning to the UK each and every one of us had all lost a few kilos in weight, yet another mystery of this incredible journey.”
